Managers Summery for the 2008-2009 Season
What can only be described as a tough season, After having a very successful 07/08 season, coming second in our division and winning The Billy Behan cup.This season we found our selves two divisions higher, with this came better opposition and tougher cup draws.
We also found ourselves without manager Tony Bull early on and would like to take this opportunity to thank him for everything he has done for the club. It has been hard to find a replacement and we are still seeking the right man for the job. We have also lost players along the way through retirements transfers etc. But on a good note most of the lads we have left at the club have dug in and gave it there best shot although others have not been so reliable and would rather stay in bed on a sunday morning.
Our finished position of fifth, I feel doesn't really reflect on how good our team is and on our day could beat any side in our division.
This season has not been all bad there have been some very entertaining games with some brilliant performances from individuals as well as good team performances, I am proud of all the lads and would to like to thank them all.
And how could I forget the team behind the scenes.
Chez. (Landlord of the pub) for his and backing.
Andrew Marks. (Fines Master) and general scaryman for his hard work and sometimes impossible job.
Mrs Mogg. for doing the all the finances, (lovely lady)
Carle White. (player) for helping me out when things got really tough.
Tony Ward. (TV Tony) for setting up and maintaining our website as well as all his photography work.
Oh and the Misses (Lisa) for putting up with all my moaning.
